What the heck?
May 19, 2010

This was the first book I have read by this author, but what the heck? The way this book ended, you had to infer what happened. Just leaves you hanging? That would be like airing the Who Shot JR episode and then cancling the series. Yuck!

so this wasn't a mistake to end the book that way...she always wraps it up and writes "her report" with respectfully submitted. I am still left wondering but not in a good way. I started this series about a year ago and was cruising along until I hit P. I hope Q doesn't do that too!

Leaves you hanging
January 12, 2009

I thought P for Peril was one of Grafton's better efforts in the alphabet series...until I read the last page. To be fair, I thought the plot and characters were well done, but the ending was way too vague. I don't expect every little detail to be spelled out for me, but what the heck? Did I miss something? At first I thought someone had ripped out the last few pages as a bad joke. But once I figured out that no pages were missing, I felt like I was left hanging. I think I can figure out what Grafton was inferring, but after investing the time to read the book, I would've appreciated more closure.

"P" is for Peril started off kind of slow but when it picked up I couldn't put it down. High Recommended.
