A Cousin's Promise

Willkumm to the world of the Amish, where Wanda Brunstetter’s new romantic series, Indiana Cousins, begins with A Cousin’s Promise.

When a group of eight cousins and friends leave the safety of their Indiana Amish community for a weekend getaway of fun and friendship, a tragic accident brings them home, with their lives forever changed.

Permanently disabled by the accident, Wayne Lambright struggles to take care of himself. He can’t imagine being able to be the kind of husband his fiancée, Loraine Miller, needs and deserves…the kind of husband he had once hoped to be. Now, Wayne is determined to sacrifice his own happiness to give Loraine a better life—and he breaks their engagement, giving her the freedom to love another.

Loraine refuses to believe Wayne doesn’t love her anymore. But when her old boyfriend Jake Beechy, after having abandoned her to explore the English world, returns to renew their courtship, Wayne does everything in his power to help Jake regain Loraine’s love. Loraine's heart is torn. For better or worse, she wants to be Wayne’s wife, but if he won’t agree, should she promise her love to Jake?

How will God work to bring Loraine her true heart’s desire?

I truly enjoyed reading A Cousin's Promise. I try to read all of Ms. Brunstetter's books. They all are about real life and they show that everyone faces difficult situations in life. Looking forward to reading the sequel.
