In 2006, truck driver Charles Roberts entered an Amish schoolhouse where he bound and shot 10 young girls before committing suicide. Five of the children died; five survived in critical condition—and a peace-loving people for whom faith is everything were left to pick up the pieces. After Amish-raised counselor Jonas Beiler was summoned to offer his moral and spiritual support he wrote his first-person account of the events, as well as of those who were closest to the scene, including the surviving children. But most affecting is the Amish community’s response to the horrific violence...and to the killer’s family. Anyone seeking to understand the true meaning of forgiveness need look no further than the pages of Think No Evil.

Book is a very good lesson on forgiveness which I would give 5 starts, but I don't think is that well written.

Even that we know what happened I thought that this book was very well done and couldn't put the book down. I read it in one day.
My husband and I used to vacation on a farm in the Amish area of Lancaster. As the Amish say that us English, we could use a lot of the way that they live. I really made me feel that the world would be a better place if we all thought like the Amish. Thank you Jonas Beiler for a very good book.

I wept and wept and wept. I thought I knew what it meant to forgive and to be forgiven until I read Beiler's account of the Nickel Mines shooting. A must read. Highly recommend!
