The Murder of King Tut (Large Print)

Since 1922, when Howard Carter discovered Tut’s 3,000-year-old tomb, most Egyptologists have presumed that the young king died of disease, or perhaps a terrible accident, such as a chariot fall. But what if his fate was actually much more sinister?

Now, in The Murder of King Tut, James Patterson and Martin Dugard chronicle their extraordinary, epic quest to find out what exactly did happen to the boy-king. They judiciously combed through reams of evidence—X-rays, Carter's files, forensic clues—and scavenged for overlooked data to piece together the details of the ruler’s life and mysterious death. The result is a true-crime tale of intrigue and betrayal that presents a compelling case that King Tut's death was anything but natural.

I found the book very interesting. A lot of theories have been tossed about concerning Tut's death, murder being the first one I had ever heard. I was a little dissapointed that the (so called)curse was not mentioned or debunked. It has alway been a facinating part of the Tut lore.

This book is a really fast read. It is great in the way that it has three stories in one. The story is interesting, and the fact that it isn't fiction really adds to the story.

I absolutely loved this book. I've never read anything else by James Patterson, but I really enjoyed how the book goes back and forth to different time frames. I've always been interested in the pharohs, esspecially Tut. It gave me more insight on his life and his family. I've recomended it to all my friends.

BOOK IS JUST OK

I FOUND THE BOOK CHOPPY. WAY TOO MANY SHORT PARAGRAPHS AND NOT ENOUGH DETAIL, PATTERSON SKIPPED AROUND TOO MUCH. HE DID NOT DEVELOP HIS CHARACTERS AT ALL. THIS IS THE FIRST PATTERSON BOOK I HAVE ORDERED IN QUITE A WHILE BECAUSE I BELIEVE HE IS WRITING WAY TOO MANY BOOKS AND I DO NOT FIND THEM NEARLY AS INTERESTING AS BEFORE. YOU CAN'T TURN OUT FIVE OR SIX BOOKS IN A FEW MONTHS AND THEY BE VERY GOOD. ALSO, TOO MUCH EXPLICIT SEX. I THOUGHT WITH THE AVAILABLE MATERIAL, THIS BOOK WOULD BE GOOD, BUT NOT SO. I WILL NOT BE BUYING ANY MORE PATTERSON BOOKS. WHEN YOU'VE READ ONE, YOU'VE READ THEM ALL.
