The Murder of King Tut (Large Print)

Since 1922, when Howard Carter discovered Tut’s 3,000-year-old tomb, most Egyptologists have presumed that the young king died of disease, or perhaps a terrible accident, such as a chariot fall. But what if his fate was actually much more sinister? Now, in The Murder of King Tut, James Patterson and Martin Dugard chronicle their extraordinary, epic quest to find out what exactly did happen to the boy-king. They judiciously combed through reams of evidence—X-rays, Carter's files, forensic clues—and scavenged for overlooked data to piece together the details of the ruler’s life and mysterious death. The result is a true-crime tale of intrigue and betrayal that presents a compelling case that King Tut's death was anything but natural.

BOOK IS JUST OK

I FOUND THE BOOK CHOPPY. WAY TOO MANY SHORT PARAGRAPHS AND NOT ENOUGH DETAIL, PATTERSON SKIPPED AROUND TOO MUCH. HE DID NOT DEVELOP HIS CHARACTERS AT ALL. THIS IS THE FIRST PATTERSON BOOK I HAVE ORDERED IN QUITE A WHILE BECAUSE I BELIEVE HE IS WRITING WAY TOO MANY BOOKS AND I DO NOT FIND THEM NEARLY AS INTERESTING AS BEFORE. YOU CAN'T TURN OUT FIVE OR SIX BOOKS IN A FEW MONTHS AND THEY BE VERY GOOD. ALSO, TOO MUCH EXPLICIT SEX. I THOUGHT WITH THE AVAILABLE MATERIAL, THIS BOOK WOULD BE GOOD, BUT NOT SO. I WILL NOT BE BUYING ANY MORE PATTERSON BOOKS. WHEN YOU'VE READ ONE, YOU'VE READ THEM ALL.

KING TUT

FOUND IT TO BE AN INTERESTING HISTORY LESSON. BUT NOT WHAT YOU WOULD EXPECT FROM JAMES PATTERSON. NOR WAS ALEX CROSS'S TRIAL WHICH WAS ALSO INTERESTING HISTORY-WISE. IT SEEMS HE CO-WRITES WITH ALOT OF OTHER AUTHORS TO GIVE THEM A CHANCE BUT DEMINISHES HIMSELF. SEEMS LIKE HE'S GONE FOR THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR AND LEFT THE HAIR RAISING THRILLS BEHIND.

Patterson takes different path

This isn't your typical James Patterson read! That said; we enjoyed the book. If you're a history buff it provides a story with Egyptian history as the background. We'd recommend it.

I just finished the book and although it is relatively ok, it is definitely not one of James Patterson's best. This could be that he is trying to delve into something new and the material is nonfiction based. Who knows? Do I recommend the book? Yes, but do not think this book will be like any of the other Patterson material.
